Animating Autism is a feature length documentary on autism that follows seven individuals on the spectrum as they collaborate to create a short animated film. The documentary follows them as they learn how to turn their sketches into movies and form lasting friendships.
The innovations of the digital age are making it possible for more and more people, including those with autism, to express themselves in creative and meaningful ways. Animating Autism highlights how this is possible and why it is necessary to better understand and integrate those with autism into society.
The film is complete and recently won Best Documentary at the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival. We are seeking funding from the public to help us send it to 50 more fests, setup public screening dates, and other promotional expenses.
We want to share this film with as many people as we can. We can't do it without you and yours. In exchange for your support you will receive different rewards based on the dollar amount of your donation. We've setup a lot of unique "Thank You!" gifts.
All funds are strictly being used to promote, market, and send the film to festivals.
