just a brief look at what my studio looks like right now under construction. (working conditions)

*DMA Studios* Big-Time-Build! is about building a professional audio recording studio in an area that is over-flowing with musicians in many different age groups.
This project is very important to the community because many of these musicians are already trying to record their material, but do not have any local studio to turn to. *DMA Studios* is a local buisness that has the lowest price in the province with some of the best results BUT the facility is still under construction and not proffessional. Being a home studio, i have the issue of creeking floor boards from people walking upstairs, the noisy furnace/air conditioning, loud water pipes and a feeling of "un-professionalizm" when standing in an unfinished space.
Recording is what i LOVE to do!! I am also a musician and record my own material whenever i have the time, but i really enjoy hearing many other musicians from many different genres and making them happy by giving them what they hear in their head, on a cd or on the internet to hear over and over again.
What i plan to do with the money is build a moderately-sized, professional recording studio (sound-proofing n' all) and upgrade some of the gear required to track instruments correctly.
A few of my friends and family are planning to open an opportunity for all local musicians to show their talent and express themselves in a contest that is fun and rewarding. *DMA Studios* will be contributing by doing the live sound and offering the winner(s) free recording time in the studio! (enough to record a finished EP or demo cd) If additional funds are attained, this free recording time prize will be accented with a cash prize!! (first, second and third place prizes are what we hope for)
